Tumble Skills
Our Tumble Skills programme focuses on building the fundamental and advanced tumbling techniques that are a key part of gymnastics performance.
Gymnasts will work on developing the strength, power, and coordination needed to perform safe and effective tumbling moves, while also learning how to link skills together into smooth, flowing routines.
Core elements include:
Round Off: A powerful move that sets up the momentum for more advanced skills.
Back Flip: Developing body control, speed, and confidence while rotating backwards.
Front Tuck Somersault: Building explosive leg strength and mastering safe landings.
Back Tuck Somersault: Refining technique and improving body awareness in backward rotations.
In addition to individual skills, gymnasts will also be taught how to connect movements into tumble runs, combining multiple elements into one seamless sequence.
This helps improve rhythm, power, and stamina, as well as preparing gymnasts for performances and competitions.
The Tumble Skills pathway is suitable for gymnasts of different levels, offering progressions that challenge beginners while also supporting advanced athletes who want to perfect their routines.
